I find it interesting that a passage from the bible (even if it is a proverb, and not a gospel) is promoting the use of an outside source to momentarily forget and comfort one's problems; much like religion itself.

I hope you read the whole chapter. That is kind of out of context.
It's telling a king to use his abundant resources for the poor and not for his selfish reasons. There are alot of passages that say drunkenness is against God's law. But anywho.
I'm not saying this to tell you that you are a bad person, because I don't know you and I don't think you are. I just don't like it when people use scripture out of context to defend and justify what they do.

im not trying to justify anything that ive done, i simply thought it was as interesting pasage. out of context or not. like you said, you dont know me and i just dont like it when people i dont know trying talking to me about some deep shit. fuck off.

im not mad, i just dont appreciate somebody who doesnt even know me calling me out on some shit like that. you're obviously very religious, and i dont have a problem with that as long as you respect the fact that my beliefs are different from yours.
