Wow, isn't it awesome, when you take a look at how far society has come? (at the time of the founding fathers gays certainly wouldn't have had near as many rights or as much societal acceptance as they now enjoy today. Gay marriage wouldn't even have been given a chance for discussion by the government back then). So it makes you realize just how many more rights gay people have been allowed, by society, to enjoy in the realms of modern day America. This may lead you to think that maybe American Society is finally starting to grow up and get on the right track, but lo and behold, some close-minded fundamentalist of the Christian religion comes along and proves just how wrong you are in thinking that Humans are actually beginning to mature morally and intellectually. These kinds of people seem intent on keeping our society as close minded and ignorant as they are. They seem to wish that society does not progress at all, that we should all live in the past ( ... )

This fire of animosity has began to kindle deep within my soul because such ignorance within our society shows me exactly how parts of our nation are trying to hold our development back. These kinds of people are the same ones who said Whitman’s literary work was "a mass of stupid filth." Way back in the day. When I see this kind of behavior continuing today it makes me angry ( ... )

Well I didn't read what Dobson said, I only read your notes on it. I am somewhat familiar with what he has to say, so I figured I could just read what you said and just know what he had to say :-p I (however surprising it may be) agree with you... but only somewhat (of course). These people are totally crazy, they really have no idea what they are talking about, and they wouldn't know a moral if it came up and bit them in the bum. So you're right about them being whacko for sure! All that bothered me is what everyone (from your comments) is really saying. How much they hate this country and everything it stands for. Personally I'm proud to be an American, and I wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. But then you'd probably say it's 'cause I'm a white male. So what do I know anyway? Granted I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I do know that the world is a much more messed up place than liberal media lets on to. They tend to mask what's going on in other countries (while airing all of our country's dirty laundry) because they are ( ... )
