Um...I'm not really sure how I feel about this.

I initially heard about this when they were attempting genetic modification, and I was a lot more iffy about that. I don't really have a problem with selective breeding. All domesticated animals are the result of selected breeding. $4000 is pricey, but I have no moral objection.

From a Eugenics standpoint, we don't want to make things easier for people with Allergies.

On the other hand, it is suspected that children of neat freaks are more likely to develop allergies

The guy behind the company appears to be a charlatan, including having a for-profit venture copying SETI's not-for-profit SETI@Home which he said involved retailers like Amazon.com and Dell (it didn't). More recently, in February the company (Allerga) was evicted from its San Diego HQ for nonpayment of rent.
