Last Thursday my Dad came down to Bend and helped me pack up all my shit (except I just learned that I forgot my shot glasses - foiled!) and then he helped me drive it up to Spokane - which is where I am now. I found my (very satisfactory) studio apartment in Fremont (an area I think you might like a lot) just through the classifieds. I may have found my Lake City place that way, too.

Craigslist has listings as well, although I didn't have much luck with it.

Craigslist is the shit. My happiest living situations have come from finding strangers through Craigslist.

If you're looking for your own place, then I'd look at classifieds - or better yet, just drive around neighborhoods you like and look for "for rent signs". But if you're looking for a room in a house or something like that: Craigslist. Yes.

Craigslist is how we found our place. Alternately, when you figure out your timeframe, I can put my ear to the ground to figure out if any of my acquaintances need roommates.
