Do what I did this winter: bitch endlessly about the cost, then shove everything in a few boxes and ship it. Expensive, but it got stuff there. No point in sorting it out before you unpack.

I've shipped 5 boxes worth, which is phenominally expensive considering it's to Canada. What doesn't fit in my car at this point will either be sold or abandoned.
