Wow. I've seen ER, I've seen reality shows in real ERs, and hell-- I've been in real ERs many times, seen lots of things-- and that was one of the most riveting medical stories of my life. I was so tense, and so relieved in the end. I know how deeply you love your pets. I can practically feel how you felt when she was writhing in the car. I can practically see you sinking to the hospital floor.
In fact, I've rarely felt so close to you. It's like we just shared an ordeal. I credit my imagination somewhat, but moreso, your excellent writing.
