Some time ago I vowed that I would try not to write exclusively about babies and motherhood.

Problem is, that’s all I think about.

(Well, that and the upcoming election, which is giving me nightmares. Hello? Undecided people? What the hell are you waiting for? Ack. I can’t possibly write about that without bringing on violent stomach cramps.)

Aren't you both blue eyed? Am I just crazy? I thought Hubby was blue eyed. Then again when was the last time I looked deep into his eyes? :P I thought that to be blue eyed means you have bb? Also, don't you have some part of wavy hair gene in you? I mean, I obvously do so...oh what do I know. It's just...mom has curly Q hair so you must have some of it in you too.
You know that F's eyes are blue except for a little triangle of brown in his left eye? Is that not strange?

T has very dark brown eyes. That means he's either a BB or a Bb. My eyes are blue, which means I am definitely a bb. Which means peanut could go either way. But according to the genetics web site I looked at, eye colour is a toss up, even if you both have blue eyes, for some complicated reason I couldn't follow having to do with several other eye colour "markers" in the whole process. Which means you can somehow get green eyes, or hazel eyes, or different coloured eyes, or a weird brown bit in a blue eye ( ... )

I want a little hoppy bird thing with red ears..that would be awesome!! i have always wanted one really, i used to dream of them when i was a little boy.

im a liar.

glad to hear you have moved on to the next stage of pregnancy...a friend of mine just found out he was having twins...boy thats scary

sadly i know shit about genetics. but the one thing i do know, is its all odds. so you can guess all you like, but you may still have a baby with red eyes and jet black straight long hair.

that would be scary. you wouldnt be able to call the baby peanut after that, lucifer would be more appropriate.

im sorry, its friday and my mind is wandering to the far depths of boredom, which is why i posted those stupid lines in my journal..FAR depths

Did mom ever tell you the story of when she was little and cut her hair? Apparently she used to have curly ringlettes when she was very young. Then one day when she was about 3 she cut them all off. Then her hair was poker straight until menopause. Weird, eh?

And how could you have Cc and yet have poker straight hair all your life? Damn it...and I aced Biology 12!

HI, this is Putali's sister and she is really distracted right now. So I thought I'd answer your question for you...she got her name the same way. Travelling Nepal quite a few years ago. Weird, eh? Please don't think her rude. She does rememeber she has a journal every once in a while. :P

Au Contraire! If you're in grade 12, then you definitely know MORE than me. Because once you leave high school, all that learnin' takes up residence in the dusty back chambers somewhere, only to be hauled out 15 years later when some obscure need arises, at which point you think... "Now what the hell was it I learned in Grade 12 biology about this damn subject?" This is especially true for algebra and geometry. And chemistry. And physics. Also, history. Can you tell I'm a word person?

So anyway. Thanks for dropping by. I, too, got the name putali when travelling in Nepal. About 13 years ago. I befriended a lovely Nepalese man (who was also quite handsome) and he nicknamed me putali. I loved it.

Huh. Maybe nepalese men give that nickname to ALL foreign women who visit! And we thought we were so special!

Cool that you got to trek in Nepal at such a young age. Did your parents take you? How long were you there? Did you love it?
