Assassin's Creed

So I finally got the game for christmas and now I am going to rant although most of this has been said before and better.

Assassin's Creed(AC) had a lot of those "Holy crap, that was cool" moments which are really important in a game. The downfall was that you experience those "Holy crap" moments over and over. AC was just very repetative. All your assassinations go the same way, climb, gather information, kill, get an upgrade. You had to make your own fun(beat people up for no reason, throw people down stairs...) and take the game slowly, because if you rushed through it you missed the good points.
All the cut-scenes really annoyed me. After I finished the game I thought they were important but not while playing. Spin around in circles while you pretend to listen to whoever is talking. They gave you places to look for information gathering and where to go next, but finding those places without hints also added more fun(again, taking the game slowly).
The whole side-plot was really cool too. Except they didn't act on it. Obviously we have to wait for a sequel to get into that more which is really annoying.
The main plot was a tad boring I suppose untill the 9th assassination. That twist made the game exciting and I couldn't put it down at that point. Except that it ended soon after.

Overall, AC isn't a BAD game it's just one of those games that I'm going to have to play again to explore and continue to make my fun in.

christmas, rant, assassin's creed, game
