[Wednesday morning, early. Loki's been awake for a while, having taken the last watch to guard Thor's home. He's already raided the fridge -- when Thor wakes up, he'll find less food and beer in his larder than when he went to sleep -- and feels ready to face the world. Kill some zombies, loot some stores -- he could profit from this chaos if he ( Read more... )

[Well someone else seems to have that idea as well. As Mae is in a clothing store, stealing some pants. And is right now picking the lock of the cashregister. She's talking to the dead drone zombie next to her on the ground with a bullet in it's head.]

Well look at it this way. You wouldn't let me 'buy' them in the first place.

Want a hand with that?

[He comes up behind her, holding up a finger with a flame dancing atop it like a human lighter.]

If the hand involves opening it and not destroying everything inside. Then sure, I'd love one.

That's the idea, isn't it?

[Melting the lock seems like the best idea to him. He steps over to the register and holds his hand out. As the flame disappears inside the keyhole, Loki takes hold of the drawer he knows money is usually kept in in these devices and pulls. It takes several seconds--and a sharp increase in temperature--but eventually the superheated metal gives, and the drawer pops out with a ding!

There's a bit of a nasty smell, though. Melted plastic is foul, and Loki waves a hand over the machine to clear the air, coughing slightly.]

Sorry about the smell.

[Since he became infected, Crowley's taken to wandering the streets. For the most part he's managed to keep his wits about him, though early in the day, he had to feast. He regrets every second of it. Crowley is normally a very civilized demon. He eats his food like any typical human would; cooked and served in a luxury restaurant. And he really does have a strong distaste for gore (read: gets violently ill and then quite drunk). Normally that is.

All that seems to be thrown out the window as he saunters along, looking for his next meal. And unfortunately it looks like his next meal is rolling toward him.]

[Hey, that's Crowley, isn't it? Loki skids to a stop a couple of meters away, taking in the signs -- the bite on the neck being most obvious. Chances are, Loki's new friend is on the hunt for flesh, or at least will be soon.

He barks a warning as the flames around his hands brighten, turning blue.]

Back away, friend.

[Unfortunately, Loki's call attracts the attention of every zombie within earshot, and six or seven start shambling towards Loki.]

[Crowley pauses, gauging Loki for a moment. A part of his mind is telling him to stop. Loki is a friend, not food. But the rest of his mind is only focusing on the fresh, tasty, tasty meat. He steps forward, not the awkward shamble of the other zombies, but a purposeful saunter.

He licks his lips.]

[Oh, well. Nothing for it. Most people would have thought twice before attempting to melt out the brains of the person who had shown them the most kindness in an unfamiliar place, but Loki doesn't hesitate. Superhot blue-white flames appear in a column around him, a column that expands rapidly outwards, melting the zombies it touches. It takes out the drones easily.

Confident that all the creatures have been destroyed, Loki dusts his hands off and lets himself relax for a moment. As long as he's got the flames up, he's safe, right?]

[There is a tank parked outside Jonathon's Tools. Does Loki dare take a look inside? If he does, he will find Olivier behind the counter, her sword pinning a drone zombie to the wall by its head while she rummages through the firearms and ammo.]

[He pokes his head in the door and waves with a big fucking grin.]

Hey! You're still alive!

Of course I am.

[Guns tucked into the back waistband of her pants, and her pockets full of ammunition, she pulls her sword free of the zombie and gives it an extra kick for good measure.]

These things aren't half as quick as the ones back home, nor as agile. I'm assuming your fire has come in handy.

Oh, yes. Not a single one's even come close to me, and on top of that, it destroys the infected bodies.

[He leans against the doorframe.]

You have experience with them?
