Heh heh heh. Looks like winter's finally here. The snow was one thing, but I was waiting for the real cold to come.

[He doesn't like it, but he can take it. You can't whine about the chill all the way through Jotunheim with Thor as your traveling-companion.Now, none of you have any cause to worry. After all, I am Loki. There's ( Read more... )

[Elizabeth waves cheerfully to the wolf that walks by with the tarp, seeming relatively unbothered by the cold for now]

[Loki sees the movement, but his eyesight isn't as great as a canine. She smells very interesting. Curious and willing to delay his errand, Loki turns around and approaches Elizabeth, trying to make out her features.]

[Elizabeth peers at the wolf and huddles in her blanket a bit more]

[He gets close enough, and -- wait, he knows her! That's the woman who made a contract with Thor -- the one who drank him under the table! Elizabeth, as he recalls.

Suddenly, though, he gets a much clearer look at her features, as he loses his skin-changing regain.

Suddenly, Loki is on all fours on the ground, stark naked.

Give him a moment. It'll take him a second to get over his surprise.]

[Iceland pauses at the sight of the wolf. Is that a Norwegian wolf? Considering there are maybe fifteen wolves in Norway anymore, it's cause to watch.]

[Loki feels someone looking at him, and his head turns to find the observer. When he meets Iceland's eyes, his head tilts.

What's this person staring at?

They smell interesting.]

[Iceland watches with more uncertainty when the wolf sees him--wolves can be dangerous, after all. He's not sure if it's a real wolf or not--or which would be more dangerous, really.]

[Loki's about to move on when his regain fails on him. This wouldn't be so bad, except 1) Loki's skin-wearing requires that he be naked when he dons the skins, and 2) it's freezing. So Iceland, there is a very naked god on all fours looking at you, with a cord in his mouth. He moans around it -- ]

Not again!

[and beats his fists once on the ground in frustration.]

[At Baldr's house, a girl answers the door, wrapped up in blankets, a knit hat shoved over her hair. She wasn't expecting a wolf at the door. She also recoils for a moment, instinctually, then looks confused as to why she did that before she addresses Loki.]

Oh! Oh... Um... Hi?

[The wolf wags its tail happily, glad the door's open, and immediately attempts to push past her legs, trying to get inside.]

Eeep...! [She lets him by, but will follow after him into the house.]

Oh, um, can I help you? Do you have the right house?

[He'll head for the middle of the room, turning around and waiting. Once the door's shut, Loki will change back. It's an odd thing to see -- the skin splits in half, opening along the chest and stomach, and Loki emerges from underneath. He'll just be tying that skin around his waist, thanks.]

This is the home of Baldr, isn't it?

[Ignoring the part about women...]

Uh, would you care to lit a fire for my house?

I sure would, if you'll make it worth the trip.

I do not drink, so you could have all the alcohol in my house. Would that be enough?

That'll do nicely. What's your address?

[Jormungandr opens the door. He is... looking a little ridiculous because he is bundled up in about as much clothing/coats/scarves/whatever as he could find because it is cold, okay. He may not be a giant sea serpent anymore but that doesn't mean he has to like the cold.

He stares morosely down at the wolf, eyebrow raised.]

[Loki wags his tail, and will nose at Jormungandr's legs. Move aside, he wants to get in!]

[What... what is this... okay fine. He steps aside, closing the door behind the wolf.]

[Thank goodness! The wolf shakes his coat out, fluffy and thick.

Then, it seems to split down the center, below the belly. As it falls away, somehow, the figure of Loki, naked as the day he was born, steps out of it. He deftly wraps the fur around his waist both for modesty and warmth, and says:]

Good morning.
