So there I was, out in the field that covers a gas pipeline between some houses that everyone pretty much considers public area and where dogs are routinely exercised.  I have leashes with me, we're picking up our dog's poop and we're not in anyone's private property having a good game of fetch.  A lady comes out of her house with her two daughters ( Read more... )

No but one of her daughters was in one of those hippy kinda sling things. I'm still trying to figure out whether she brought the kids out to prove that she had reason to fear my dogs by bringing her kids out to be endangered by them, whether she brought them out to attempt to stop people from getting belligerent when she poked her nose into their business, or whether she stands by her window, suited up for action to go out and confront other people who aren't bothering anyone else cuz "It's the law".

So now I've gone back and double checked: depending on what your definition of supervised formal obedience training is, or whether you accept that I'm lawfully hunting tennis balls she can fuck off.

Any time somebody threatens to call the cops on me, I tell them to do it. Then every time they say something else, I just keep saying, "call the cops." Eventually they get tired of me doing it, realize I am not afraid of that threat, and they go away. Secretly I can't wait until the day that somebody threatens to call the cops around me and I can just say, "it's OK, I'm already here." (26 more days, booyah!)

Damn, scratch COA 3.
I wish you'd have told me sooner, I already went to 5.11 and got a really cool tactical collar with a badge holder, a picatinny rail and pockets to hold 15 spare chew toys.

In the America I remember, you didn't go out of your way to be a douchebag to other people.

This was the kind of behavior that causes people to WANT to do bad things like leave flaming poo on your doorstep.
Seriously though, if you're that concerned about it, one would expect that you would build a fence around your yard instead of expecting everyone else to drive to a dog park.

Personally I would've asked the old bag that if she felt threatened then why the hell did she bring her kids outside? And me, being the ass that I am, would go back there every single freaking day with my dog just to annoy the hell out of her until either she shut up or actually did call the cops and they told me to stop.

Oh no, not an old bag. We're dealing with a busybody soccer mom type here.

With my ancestry and training, I am physically and mentally incapable of ceding terrain.
