I voted for Bush too because I believe he could do the best job. I love the conservative view, and yes maybe we would think differently had we grown up in different households, but for us and our beliefs and morals we like Dubya.

I don't like it when people are rude.

Don't worry though, I *can* be civil! haha

I've recently gone insane because all anyone cares about is morals. The USA government is imposing morals on EVERYONE, which I find wrong. Like I've said before, we are a Democracy, not a Theocracy, therefore Christian values SHOULD NOT be imposed on every citizen. That's not freedom.

George Bush is buddies with that DeMint senator down in South Carolina, which makes me lose SOOO much respect. This guy wants to pass a bill that keeps homosexuals and unwed pregnant women from teaching! WHAT IS THAT!?!?!?!

I'll tell you what it's not... and that's freedom.

I don't like being associated with people like that.

It takes more that morals and values to run a country.

Dear Heather,
Morals are not Christian values, they are what people feel are right and wrong. What is good and bad. They may come from our Christian beliefs, but you can have morals from anywhere.
I do not believe homosexuals and unwed pregnant woman should be banned from teaching. But I strongly and firmly believe homosexual should not be allowed to adopt children. I don't really believe in marriage of them, but I could accept it more than I could them allowing to adopt children. But that is how I feel.
But yet, here is my argument. You say the USA government is imposing morals on everyone, and you find that wrong. But how is it right, that the government can take away from religion in school or the pledge or anything like that, which takes away from our morals, do make amends for political correctness? Teachers can't wear crosses to school. Might offend somebody. What is that. That's not freedom either.

Teachers can't wear crosses? That's news to me.

I'm all for prayer in the school, just so long as students aren't forced to pray, which, I doubt they were. I don't believe in them taking the God part out of the pledge either. It's not that big of a deal.

I don't know what to say to the homosexuals not adopting thing. I can't understand what's wrong with that. It baffles me. As long as there are thorough background checks on those who want to adopt, I see nothing wrong with it at all.

i respect your conservative views. i only write about bush as i do because i feel that he could have done a better job in the past 3 1/2 years considering the circumstances. i think that he was dishonest and put us in situations that we didn't have to be in. i'm not even going to go into things such as abortion and gay rights, or even the economy, because i think the biggest and most important issue in this whole election was the war and our homeland security (not that the others weren't important).

i'm glad that i grew up in a more "liberal" household (though my dad agrees that homosexuals should not be allowed to marry), and i know that i'll never fully agree with the more conservative points of view, but you are one of many "republican" (i don't want to use the word "conservative" even once more) people in my life, and i love you all the same. <3

i guess everyone makes mistakes, so i hope that president bush will right some wrongs now that he's been given the opportunity.

My problem with all of this is that George Bush acts as though he is more religious than the whole Democratic Party put together. John Kerry was raised a Catholic just as I was. I can't speak for him, but I know that I have a very strong faith in God and in no way, shape or form is George Bush closer to God than I am!!!!!! He has lied to the American people over and over again. He is arrogant beyond belief and he is so intellectually challenged that he cannot put one sentenece together without stumbling over his words....and he is our President! Don't even get me started on the war and all of the innocent young lives that he has taken just so he can pad his pockets even more. Blood for Oil...that is his agenda. Enough said.

i too was raised catholic, and it really angers me to think that some bush supporters believe he is more religious than john kerry, who is a catholic. they seem to base EVERYTHING on that one aspect.. and i believe that's exactly the reason he got "elected" back in 2000. i've heard many say they support him because "he is a good christian man", or "he's not ashamed to pray in public" (i'm sorry kala, but i thought that icon was ridiculous, and i was fuming inside). as if john kerry - or any democratic candidate for that matter - does not have those qualities ( ... )
