Nashton! [He's running up towards the other. He usually calls everyone by their first name, but this is different. Edward was his upperclassman. Someone he looked up to and respected wholeheartedly. But that isn't right is it...]

Nashton you aren't looking too good. [This conversation doesn't feel right.]

[Eddie whips around, caught off-guard. Someone else knows his name. And more importantly, Edward knows this voice. This is the man who dared to think he could replace Bruce. But instead of letting loose some snarky comment about the former Boy Wonder, he instead finds himself replying:]

I've felt better, Grayson.

Really? [He laughs nervously.] I guess I could say the same thing.

[It's like a flash. He almost didn't realize it, but he remembers just briefly a dark city. A man in green. They look like Edward...but Edward was his upperclassmen.] What's on your mind?

Too many... too many things, Grayson. Too many questions.

[Yes, questions. His life had always been dictated by questions. Questions that needed answers.]

"Never ahead, ever behind,
Yet flying swiftly past;
For a child I last forever,
For adults I'm gone too fast."

Question... what is it?

Huh...well mayb- [He pauses. He remembers something familiar about this. But not in this setting. A dark city. What is that?] What...

Today is really weird...

We've always lived here haven't we? It was just a really weird dream. [Gotham. That couldn't be real. He shakes his head.] Are you doing anything with your family today? [Family. It sounds so wrong.]

[But it can't have been a---]

Dreams? [Yes, he'd been having strange dreams lately, hadn't he?] I was planning on taking Susan and the boys to see the fireworks tonight. You?

[It feels like there's more to today then they know yet.]

A city and an entire lifestyle. It's pretty vivid for just a dream though. [Maybe it isn't a dream.] I was thinking of buying sparklers for the children then seeing if the neighbors wanted to join in a small get together. This holiday is a good day for getting to know each other. [But he already knows his neighbors doesn't he? But why does he feel like he barely knows them.]
