Although Angell isn't in Camberville (Boston, rather), they are T-accessible (Green E line to Heath St, and a short walk from there) and do see outpatient animals for checkups, etc. *shrug* We haven't taken any cats there, but I've heard they're good.
Porter Square Vet was recommended to me (they're now in Davis). They were fine, but I had to wait a long time (20 minutes) in a mixed-animal waiting room, so Reason was a mess by the time she got into the vet's office. ymmv. Now we use a vet that does housecalls (http://www.headtotailvet.com/) and she's great, but pricey.
Btw, I met your kitten and you're very lucky I didn't put her in my pocket and take her home with me! Soooo adorable!
Dr. Parker at Porter Square vet. Nietzsche loves him, he's super nice, and its really accessible. Its kind of pricey, but every vet is pricey thats convenient to the T/city. I think this practice is the one that fixed up Anath after she fell off the ledge.
You are correct! They are indeed not cheap, but the service was quite good. They worked with my college-level income when they fixed up her broken leg (they didn't charge me the additional office visit for cast removal, etc) and I've been quite happy with the competent vibe I get from them. However, being as I am cheap, I should also note that Anath was spayed at the Metro Action Clinic in Boston because it was much much cheaper and was totally fine. But I believe neutering is all they do. For long-term care, I give Porter Sq a thumbs up.

I just though tit would be a good idea to actually figure out this vet thing before I actually need to go to them for anything.
