Now. I don't know anything about poetry, but this made me feel very sorry for all the plants I neglected. the cactus that gave me a beautiful flower and then died of over-watering. Others died of dehydration. Can somebody make a measuring cup for plant watering?! I miss them too.

I don't really know anything about poetry either :p I just write it! I've never taken a poetry class and am afraid if I ever talk to a "real" poet I'll find out my poetry is all awful. (The only thing I was taught to write, poetry-wise, was a sonnet, and that was back in high school. Though if you go back and read my poetry, you'll find I use that form a lot, because I know it ;)

And if you like cactus flowers, you might enjoy this, a time-lapse video of my SO's cactus flowering (he took the pictures for me because I out of town when it bloomed, so I missed it in person).

It's hard to keep a plant alive, isn't it? My parents couldn't keep plants alive, and they told me that what saved my life was the fact that I gave audio feedback as an infant. ;) Plants will quietly take whatever you give them, even if it kills them. Tragic, really.

Your parents have a good sense of humor :)
You inspired me to write my own little poem - except my poetry is more kiddy-like. I must have missed the sonet lessons at school :)
Nice video. I wish i had made one of my dying plants - that would be one tragic video, except if I were giving them all that attention, I would have rather saved them.

Yes, yes they do. They're very funny people.

As for your poem...is it the thing you posted in Russian? If so, I can't really appreciate it, not knowing the language...but I'm sure it's very good!

And if you're Russian, that's probably why they didn't teach you about sonnets in school :p
