The way Windows works with registry files, resource libraries, and how it handles drivers is just messy. Instead of installing each application in tiny bubbles away from shared system files to maintaining system stability, Windows always likes to have files and registry entries in a mess of different shared locations making it almost impossible to ever completely remove all changes made by an installed program, but also results in accumulated system instability. That's sadly just the way Windows works...
And if that doesn't convince you, here's one more reason:
