This is just a note to let you know that registration for our Halloween game this year, The Curse of Whately's Meddling Kids, will open on September 16th (this coming Friday).
Our theme this year: Scooby Doo!

We have nine dates scheduled:

Saturday, October 8th ***PLAYTEST
Friday, October 14th
Saturday, October 15th
Friday, October 21st
Saturday, October 22nd
Friday, October 28th
Saturday, October 29th
Friday, November 4th
Saturday, November 5th

*** Note that the October 8th run will be a playtest, sort of a dress rehearsal. It helps us fine-tune the game and is geared towards people who are willing to act as cast/tech crew for later runs. The fee for the playtest will be $10; for the rest of the runs, Fridays will be $20 and Saturdays will be $25.

[Also note that registration is already open for Teenage Mystery Dance Party--running on Sunday, October 23rd: come play teenage sleuths with us!]

You can find information about Meddling Kids at our website, www.fetefatale.com. We're handling many of the logistics differently this year--that's all outlined on the website, so I won't waste bandwidth repeating it here.

Although the website is up, the registration page won't be functional UNTIL FRIDAY. We're handling registration this way again to allow folks time to arrange their groups in advance. We encourage you to "talk amongst yourselves" and find a date now that will work for the group you'd like to play with. The game this year holds six to eight players (not twelve). If you are getting together a group of 5 or more--PLEASE don't wait until Friday to let us know which dates you're considering. We'll email you immediately, should there be more than one group hoping to play on the same date.

Please feel free to forward this announcement to anyone with whom you'd like to play this game--hopefully with a note of what dates you can or can't play, so that when each of you signs up you'll give the same date information. Then we'll be able to spend more time contructing devious puzzles and outlandish props, and less time on the phone scheduling!

NOTE: this is the last year they are running Whately. Come one, come all.
