I assume my friends list has seen this by now, but Sci Fi Channel have *finally* picked up Doctor Who.

See the press release here. Of course, this probably means the scifi channel will butcher it like they do everything else, and of course, the bastards pushed off the DVD release until July 4th this year. Premiere is in March.

sorry for the random post from a stranger however I saw your post re: possibly wanting a region 2 set of the Dr. Who series. I have a set that I bought in London in October when I was over. I thought I had a way around the region issue but it didn't work so I'm thinking of selling the DVDs if you are interested. I opened two of the four but didn't watch them. The other two are unopened.

I'm wanting to wait until region 1 releases to see what the difference in extras are before I decide. So that won't be until end of feb for the canadian releases.
