Before talking about Wire - Send -- which, I guess, was their comeback album -- I think I should mention something: I have never heard their "classic" "Pink Flag". i was a latecomer to Pink Flag too, and am just getting around to Chairs Missing this week-- those are the two Big-Deal albums from Wire. so to help you out, here's the original CD issue of Pink Flag (which includes two bonus tracks at the end)). if you haven't heard it, you've really got to. it's a positively amazing album, but it's also a really fun and fast listen. (i haven't heard the 2006 remaster yet, but i'm getting around to grabbing it soon.)

and to answer your question, yes, Elastica *did* get sued for directly ripping off "Three Girl Rhumba." i normally hate IP-related litigation, but they totally deserved it.
