I live in the middle of nowhere. My ISP (local) has just started a program of offering wireless high speed access. I called them on Monday of last week to find out if I could get their service. To date, I hadn't heard back from them ( Read more... )

Oh hell-Verizon regularly teases me with "DSL is now available in your part of Dogpatch!!"-call for details. Call and find out, well...not really...kinda maybe....not sure when, ya know.

DSL? HA! You've seen my place. You know I don't even have Cable here. But it's worth it!

You *might* be able to get DSL at some point 'if' you're within ~2.5 wire miles of your telco local exchange office. I didn't know if that was a possibility for you.

Well, maybe 2.5 but I'd not want to measure it.
