Hey, I'll take you on any time with MicroClysm...once you somehow get over to this side of the country and when the bot's rebuilt. I've begun making my new Morningstar-proof revision now that I have some 7075 Al thanks to SOZBots.

Not sure how else to reach you, but I thought you might be interested to know that there's a seller at Further Confusion (in the artist's alley outside the dealer's room) who has a bunch of puppet griffons and dragons-- shoulder-riding critters with (sorta hidden) cords ending in knobs which you can use to manipulate the head so they waggle about and appear to be animated. Pretty cool stuff. He might still be there today, and it's not like you'd need a membership to surf the dealers out in the halls.

I saw a pickup truck in Sunnyvale that said "Chaos
Engineering" and "Battle Robots" on it. I did a
Google search and found this page.

I'm a member of the Home Brew Robotics Club at:

We meet once a month on Wednesday night over at
Castro Middle School in San Jose. There are
several battle bot teams in HBRC ("Killer Bee".)
You might find some kindred spirits at HBRC.

Just a thought,
