[Action for 1250 Williams Road - backdated to the morning of the 21st, the day after his death on the highway.]

[Hachibe wakes up in his bed at 1250 Williams gasping for air and screaming himself awake from a fitful nightmare of being mauled to death by thousands of cats.  He clutches at his chest, trying to slow his breathing and calm his heartbeat

((Prior to Yuki's own fight with Bernkastel.))

[Yuki observes this behavior with an intense stare. A few minutes after this occurrence, she will walk up from behind silently and await to be addressed.]

[At first, Hachibe jumps again, thinking that the presence he feels approaching from behind might be another cat. But he calms down a little once he sees it's Yuki.]

Oh, Yuki! Hi!

[bogusmagicker]

'Hi.'

[This word is as unnatural and forced coming from Yuki's mouth as Hachibe might imagine. She will walk calmly beside him in silence.]

[He actually plods along silently for a little while before saying anything else, just glad for the company. But eventually, he feels the need to say something.]

...Did you go back to the highway too?

Monday Evening

[[Aaron's a tad paranoid.

Still, he sees how Hachibe is acting on this street.

Crowe had already left again. So Aaron sneaks out and tries to walk down the side walk without looking like he wants to turn and run.

He'll wave to Hachibe.]]

[Hachibe turns his eyes from Taiwan's house and sees Aaron standing there just down the sidewalk. He blinks for a moment before lifting his hand to wave back. If Aaron's the type to pick up on this sort of thing, he looks embarrassed and a little ashamed of himself.]

[[Hey, they both seem to be sharing the same feelings there.

At least he doesn't look dangerous... then again his teacher looked like a nice person too.]]

[The third resident of that house is watching you from one of the second floor windows. Are you friendly, sir?]

[Yeah, he's friendly. In fact, he's been over here enough to visit Taiwan and/or Japan that Chizuko can probably recognize him at this point. Hachibe is just hovering outside every so often, looking at the house and sighing.]

[grand_theft_moe]

[She considers leaping out the window. Nah, that might startle him. It's just Taiwan's friend, it seems. She walks downstairs, opens the door and fixes him with a quizzical, but not unfriendly stare.]

O-oh... hi.

[He looks halfway between wanting to ask something and wanting to just run away in shame.]

[sosnarrator]

[Living next door to 1245 Williams Road, Kyon notices Hachibe wandering past his window several times. As Hachibe begins to leave again, Kyon decides to come out as he walks by.]

Hey, Hachibe! What's going on?

[pygmalion_perv]

Oh... hey, Kyon.

[glancing back to the house]

Just wondering how a friend's doing.

[sosnarrator]

Hm? Did something in particular happen? To be honest, I've been kinda laying low since Grady started rounding up the goon squad.

[pygmalion_perv]

I'm not really sure. I didn't get back to check on her before...

[He sort of trails off there before shaking his head.]

...I don't know.

[ Japan spots Hachibe as he passes by and glances into the window- he has been worried for him, in truth, all day, but couldn't bring himself to visit him directly. So at one point, when he sees him standing in front of the door- he hesitates for just a moment and then rushes to open it, his expression strangely shaken, and in a quiet voice calls out to Hachibe before he can leave. ]

M-Maeda-kun...

[pygmalion_perv]

Japan!

[Hachibe's own expression is pretty worried at this point too - he was killed before he ever found out what happened to the others.]

Uh... c-can I come in?

[politerudeness]

... Y-yes. Of course.

[ He will let him inside, but- the expression won't leave him. He quite can't control himself right now- the image Hachibe's corpse keeps pooping up in his mind, and while he certainly has witnessed worse than this... ]

[Hachibe steps in, taking his shoes off at the door and nodding briefly. There's a few more seconds of awkward silence before he speaks again.]

...So, uh, what happened to you guys back there? I tried to come back, but...
