I would have liked to see Squinty speak out against those fundamentalist nazis but my plans did not allow me to witness this debate. Fuck what the administration says, its not their place to fire a man due to beliefs of acceptance and kindness, and its not their place to make judgments against an entire group of people like that for wanting to feel integrated into society.

I don't think it's fair to reprimand a man who is obviously speaking out for human tolerance and acceptance. Are we not taught in religion and philosophy (maybe not IB philosophy...) that everyone deserves respect, dignity and equal rights?

Amen. I feel guilty for not attending, but was not aware that the meeting was to be held THIS Friday. Outright attacking an entire group is disgusting, no matter the religous inclinations. And firing a man for his beliefs is fucking awful.

well, the catholic school system clearly stated that the staff of the school were NOT permitted to voice their opinions on the matter if it was clearly against the catholic faith. due to this, the majority of the teachers left the school in a state of frustration - not pasquan though.

as a catholic school teacher, he is obliged to appear as catholic as possible for the parents of the community.
