So, I go to the gym, work out on the treadmill for almost an hour, come home to take a shower, and...we have no water pressure. None. Zip, zilch, nada.

I am disgusting. And there go my plans for doing laundry tonight. Wonder what I'll wear to work tomorrow?

At first I was worried that it was because we haven't paid our water bill in about a year. ( Read more... )

I would be so annoyed. Is that address somewhere that you at least used to live?

wtf. I have a friend who is at UNO and had just moved to NO about a month before Katrina. I really just can't wrap my mind around all the residual chaos that still lingers from that event.

Which reminds me...I'm visiting said friend in NO over MLK weekend. Can you order some sunshine for me for that weekend? I'm already so tired of the gray gray winter skies in OH.

There are a lot of abbreviations in this post. :)

i will put the order in for you asap! hee hee!

actually, i don't even consider this a post-K thing. this agency has been effed up forever. (i could go into a story about how in 1999 i worked on a website for them and it never went live but they paid me a lot for it, but i won't. hee hee.) but i suppose a lot of addresses got changed last year, and mine just did too.

OH NOOO!! $650 in back bills at this time of year no less?!? Oh you poor thing. That's terrible!! Sounds like something that would happen here in Balmore too. I've had so many bad experiences with our water department. Calling them for anything is a nightmare. I feel for you!!

Thank goodness you have water again tonight!

NOT that we'll be paying that all at once. they can have it a little bit at a time. considering we haven't paid a water bill in 12 months, and they haven't cut us off (or charged any late fees) i'm not all that concerned about it. we'll just send in, oh, an extra $10 a month...forever! mwah ha ha ha ha...

Phew. Well that's good! I was afraid that'd be due all at once or at least close together!

Nice evil laugh by the way ;)

Wow, that's crazy about the water bill! We still get ours but there was a huge jump in it recently for no apparent reason (like $20 to $75!). I don't really trust the S&WB but then I guess I'm not alone there! ;)

Yikes...and it never occured to them that they might've had the wrong address?!

I'm glad you have your water back though... ;)
