Let us go then, you and I, when the evening is spread out against the sky

And indeed there will be time
To wonder, "Do I dare?" and, "Do I dare?"

Do I dare
Disturb the universe?
In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse.

If one, settling a pillow by her head,
Should say: "that is not what I meant at all.
That is not it, at all."

Indeed. Though we quote the same three words, we both seem to do it with such different mood. Nonetheless, very nice (accurate) poem there. It stikes me as unintentionally post-modern. :)

I keep thinking of how to explain this, but every explanation sounds clumsy, so I'm deleting them.

Robin,

Your words here are moving and meaningful. Well, yours and those of Eliot, I've always loved that poem.

I must tell you: your writing has developed from narrative into some sort of art. I appreciate your words more withe every new thought written.

I am off to Europe tomorrow. I am nervous, scared, and excitedexcitedexcited!

haha, emily, you give me such a big head :) Like I always say, your compliments mean more than any, because I've always considered you such a poet.

I hope you have a wonderful time in Europe. Bring fifteen rolls of film (some black and white), and you shouldn't be scared. Are you going to Paris at all? I didn't know any french, but they're friendly if you say Bonjour instead of Hello.
