so when Ike blew through here, going on two weeks ago, he should have been high and far from doing more than stirring the leaves with a strong breeze, but because of a quirk of thermal aero-behavior, all that highborne jitters got stirred straight down into the nice warm thermal up- and down-drafts of louisville and cincy.  so lucky us, in a place
