It's the first day of summer (in the Northern Hemisphere)!

I don't need much of an excuse, but apparently I'm feeling a need for Kara/Sam. Anyone interested in a Community Thing of some kind? We can make it happen!

A part of me is like "ALL THE SPY AUS EVER. PLS" if only because I was totally pretending the protagonists of The Laurentine Spy were Kara and Sam (it doesn't work entirely, sadly), and I want to feel embarrassed about that, but can't.

Though, really, they should do slapstick spy shenanigans, as they'd end up being hilarious drunkards or something.

Sam Steed and Kara Peel? (I've never seen much of The Avengers, though, so I can only take that analogy so far.)

Yes. Or possibly Kara Bond and Sam... whatever he needs as a last name as a super-spy. Or gullible scientist.

I am also partial to turn-of-the-century industrial espionage spying, or steampunk. (Kara would make an excellent airship pilot)

Or spying during WWII. Kara is dropped into France by England (or America)! Sam is a Maquis leader! There are supply shenanigans and they escape from Nazi traps together.

Or something else all-together. It's possible we just need more canon-compliant Kara/Sam.

What other AUs do we need?

Oh, I think we only need all the Kara/Sam possible, canon-compliant or otherwise.

I'm totally behind the steampunk AU idea. And you may be personally responsible for kicking off my need for lawyer!Sam and cop!Kara. Even though the universe is tempting me into writing Justin Patrick/Vic Moretti I don't think they'll work quite the same way for me.

I never get enough pre-attacks or no-attacks AU.

I keep trying to think of a Game of Thrones AU idea, but the world just feels so wrong for them. :/

They could slip into DS9 crossover AU pretty easily.

I WOULD ~*~LOVE~*~ A COMMUNITY THING. I don't even care what it is, I want it.

AUs would be fun. Any and all modern!AU Kara/Sam that has been written or will be written is delightful. I could also use an excuse to sit down and seriously work on the two BSG!AUs I've been noodling around with--one a no attacks!Caprica, the other a no attacks!New Caprica (well, Gina didn't set off the bomb...let's leave it at that)

Drabbling, ficcing, discussions, or picspams, or anything at all would be lovely. I love this pairing (obvs) and would adore some fun community activity for the comm!!

I've kind of dabbled in a no-attacks!Caprica (or at least a no-attacks-so-far!Caprica) scenario, but I've never written any full-length fics about it. I am such a sucker for pre-attack and New Caprica AUs. All the possibility for canon-compliant characterization plus all the room for chances they never had in canon!

Yeah, what definitely draws me in to the idea of no!attacks!(*ahem* so far)New Caprica is exploring the chances they never had. What kind of lives would they have settled into?

I love no!attacks!Caprica because we never really got to see Sam *in his element.* Granted, he had a remarkably good handle on things, but that wasn't the lifestyle he'd been leading. I love hotshot pilot Kara with strong resistance leader Sam...but seeing her go toe-to-toe with fabulously wealthy superstar Sam would also have been delightful.

nnngh, yes. Sam's awesome for (among other things) being a pyramid player-turned-resistance-leader, but how much fun to have hotshot pilot Kara hit it off with C-Bucs golden boy Sam? I've only tried writing some in a lj-roleplay setting, but every time I see any of the pictures from this event I want to write nonstop fic about Kara toothily distracting Sam at awards ceremonies and charity dinners.

That's right! (Personally, what I want to know is how he went from being what I'd call a good-looking guy in his twenties to being pure kryptonite in his thirties and forties. Obviously it's not just me. He could make a fortune on that secret.) Friday could be Make Sam Happy day.
