Look, an update!

Oh Livejournal, it has been forever since you have heard from me. This is no doubt due to the complete lack of excitement in my existence. I have not abandoned you, and always read my friend's updates. Anyway, things are the same here...days go rather like this: get up, go to work, come home, go to gym, come home, eat dinner, watch tv, go to bed ( Read more... )

But this brings me to what I don't ever want to touch - the food. I love food. Ok, it's probably the wine. I love wine.

This had me practically snorting water out my nose. I feel your pain chica but I gots your back; keep it up!

It is true. Me + wine = true love.
Having a cup of tea right now before bed instead of wine.
Worked out with trainer tonight, think can possibly press attempted homicide charges against her. Will sleep well tonight!

There is nothing as good as falling asleep because one is truly physically exhausted. Isn't it attempted homicide? Unless I'm talking to a zombie pyrate_queen. In which case, "Ahoy Your Rotting Highness!"

I still want to go to that winery. :) Didn't get to at Christmas, but summer's probably better anyway.

I have worked with trainers who think women shouldn't touch a weight over 15 or 20 lbs and just do more reps. This probably works for some people.

Maybe it's because some women are reluctant to lift heavy weights, for fear of "bulking up" and looking unfeminine. Of course, it doesn't work that way, but I suppose the fear is understandable.

Me, I just can't take the atmosphere in gyms. Too many traumatic experiences in middle school, I think. ;)

Well, when I worked out with my friend Heather, for example, I said I do best with heavy weights but she said her philosophy is lighter weights and taking it easy but doing more reps. Even after I explained this does not work for me. Tonight my trainer about killed me. Gave me super heavy weights then decided three sets of 20 would be perfect. Think she is fab.

I love the gym. The gym is my happy place. But I don't think a gym is a necessity. You bike a lot, no? You probably don't need to ever set foot in a gym and are in perfectly good shape. =)
