I promise to leave a real comment when I get back from Otakon; for now I am just copying this so I can read it on the plane!

BUT SERIOUSLY SEYMOUR/SHELINDA? THE IDEA ALONE BRINGS ME GLEE.

I hope you enjoy it and I just hope I at least put it together in an orderly fashion.

Holy squee.

I was brain dead yesterday morning and thought you were commenting about a work in progress that you were still fiddling with; I hadn't seen you'd posted the first chapter.

I wasn't expecting things to move this swiftly, but Seymour is such a callous soul, taking what pleases him from others. And Shelinda is so danged gullible. This is terrifying because it's effective and believable.

I like the way Seymour seems to be toying with her, and the way she keeps self-justifying in her own mind because she so wants to believe. Yet his cynicism is born also of wisdom and understanding the world. You're always a good Seymour-writer -- one of those characters I can't seem to catch at all.

There's a few run-on sentences (besides Shelinda talking, I mean; it suits her well), but you've definitely got their tone, their mannerisms, particularly little touches like the way Shelinda scuffs her foot when she's nervous.

You just tapped into a whole area of FFX fanfic no one's ever thought of before and brought it to life. Keep going!

I'm so glad you like it!

Yeah, I guess I took it from the angle that Seymour has that cult-leader aspect to him. He's so darned charasmatic and studdied the politics of the whole 'Yevon Game' I figure he knows how to work it. Even reading the script and there is even some little girl that is like "Maester Seymour smells really good!" so it just adds onto that whole "He can do no wrong!" mentality everyone seems to have about him.

There's a few run-on sentences

If there is one thing that I have mastered it is the run-on sentence. I really need to break my habit of that, but I realize it is something that takes time.

I think it would be awsome if there was some sort of Shelinda/Seymour-movement. Maybe something else neat like Calli/Tidus? lol

Aie! That "maester Seymour smells really good!" comment creeped me out.

Compiling that script took forever, but this is precisely the sort of thing for which I did it... you learn SO much more about the minor characters, and chance lines of dialogue from random NPCs can shed light on the big players, too.

Calli/Tidus = eeeee!

Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!
