Someone deleted like 80% of the character list for Suikoden V from yuletideI know it was deleted because I nominated the fandom last year and I included all 108 characters and the character list should carry over from year to year

If the person who nommed it didn't look at last years list, it might not have carried over? But I agree, that's kind of stupid.

During nominations you can't delete anything from the character list if it's already system -- I know because I tried for another fandom that had a bunch of duplicate names. You have to specifically ask the mods to delete certain names for you.

I e-mailed the mod team and apparently they are "trying to limit character lists for fandoms to only those characters which people are thinking about requesting", not all characters in a fandom. I think it's all a load of BS because I definitely did not get that memo.

Wow, I e-mailed the mods and said that if they were seriously going through and concatenating character lists as much as possible, they should've had the courtesy to make that a public announcement, and the mod bitched back at me and said that if I "can't enjoy Yuletide with the fandoms and characters currently included", I shouldn't sign up.

That wasn't the freaking point, I was just pointing out something I thought was unfair and it infuriates me that they wouldn't even say "We're sorry this happened."

Wow. That does sound a lot along the lines of a serious miscommunication of intents, there. At the same time...idk. I'd email them back as politely as you think warrants and make the case that in Suikoden the 108 number is very important? If you think it would be worth the effort obviously. I think it would be, but I'm not really a Suikoden fan and I don't think I could make the argument very effectively.
