So if you haven't heard, Iceland's economy is completely collapsing thanks to the financial mess the world is in. As a result, it's become incredibly cheap to go there. If I had $600 available, I would so do this. Plus, you know, I'd be helping their economy. It's not taking advantage, right?

I don't see it as taking advantage at all. It benefits both sides. I mean, of course they'd be better off if their economy weren't in a shambles, but that's a done deal, and your going there can only help make things better in a small way, not worse.

Hah! We thought about the same thing today -- if only we had the cash for the air fare, we'd visit Reykjavik over Thanksgiving. :-)
