I really really really want a Sango layout but seeing as I have no concept of overriding or S2 styles or whatever it is... it isn't going to happen. I still need to figure out how *cut* my posts.

*sighs*

I'm such a noob.

I haven't found much in the way of Inuyasha Fanfic on Livejournal with the exception of lynnxlady and ash_grey_sky. Which makes me sad. *pouts* I ( Read more... )

I am a huge fan of Ranma 1/2, but haven't managed to catch Inuyasha at all. Does it come on cable, or do you have to get it on DVD? I love pretty much anything Rumiko Takahashi comes up with and I've been meaning to check it out for ages.

Well there are 3 ways you can go about watching Inuyasha.

Yep it does come on cable.
Monday through Thursday nights at 11:00 (Central time)on Cartoon network.

I think Viz has released the first 30 or 40 eps on DVD. I really don't like Viz though. In my opinion the translation is a bit off at times. But the whole matter of translations and dubs, I have come to find, is very subjective. :)

The subbed versions of episodes 85- 135 can be found here as well as the two movies.
(yes, like Ranma, Inuyasha is ridiculously long)
You just need bittorent to download them.
And the earlier episodes can be found on Kazaa.

I have watched the first 20 episodes of Ranma and I'm planning on seeing the rest but the series is soo long. I still adore it though. I'm also looking forward to the new version of Takahashi's Mermaid Forest as well. I just love her characters.

You can always check out the Inuyasha communites (inuyasha?) Most things posted there probably aren't that good, but who knows - there's always stuff that's of the diamond-in-the-rough quality, eh?

Yeah, I've been poking around a bit at inuyasha_fanfic andinuyasha. The thing is... I'm absolutely burnt out on Inu/Kagome fics. And I can just tell that those communities are all about Inu/Kagome... or Sess/Kagome. I'm in desperate need of some variety.

Oh, and I friended you because I absolutely adore Dust It Silver. It's number one on my favorite's list.

Hey! I noticed you friended me a long time ago, but at that point you didn't have any entries up. In general, I try to friend back but I didn't know anything about you. ^^

There's not much in the way of Inuyasha fic communities on lj, and they tend to be for the traditional pairings, which doesn't seem to be what you're looking for, from your reply to the above post. If it's just Inuyasha/Kagome that you're tired of, I think the inuyasha_fanfic community also has stuff like Miroku/Sango, Sesshoumaru/Kagura, Bankotsu/Jakotsu, Kouga/Ayame, and Kohaku/Rin. Though Inuyasha/Kagome is of course the most common.

There's probably also something for Sesshoumaru x Kagome - just guessing - since that alt. pairing's so popular, but like you, I burnt out on it a long time ago.

There's also one or two Sesshoumaru/Miroku ficlets to be found on the inuyasha_yaoi lj-community, I think. suzukiblu (Sunfreak on ff.n) has written that pairing a few times.

I tend to have this binge/purge relationship when it comes to... well, not lurking I suppose. Hence, the reason I got a Live journal and then let it sit for weeks.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I might revisit the Inuyasha_Fanfic community just to see if I can find the Miroku/Sango stuff. They are my favorite characters and consequentially my favorite couple. I would say that the are my OTP but then I'm a big fan of putting Miroku in various Yaoi situations and Sango with... well, anyone actually.

I'm definitely going to check out the Sesshoumaru/Miroku ficlets. As well as the Inuyasha_yaoi community.

Miroku/Sango is probably the closest I have to an OTP for Inuyasha, too. But I'm cheating on it with Miroku/Kagome, Sesshoumaru/Miroku, Sesshoumaru/Sango, and Sango/Inuyasha. ^^ Hee. I usually cheat on my "OTPs" though. ^^
