Oh festive pygarg, don thy splendid muff!
Relinquish not the tender hours of May
To the likes of flourescent paramecium.
We shall gloat triumphantly over victorious bipedalism.

I used the word bipedals today in one of my subject lines.

That's like, the coolest word featuring the root word ped.

But then...that is very creative what you wrote up there, Lisa...took some burning of the brain cells to come up with that!
In modern language your poem would be:

Oh joyous Sea Eagle, wear proudly your beautiful feathers.
Don't surrender your precious time,
To the likes of those glowing single-celled organisms.
But be proud that you can walk upright on two feet!!

How's that for decoding your poem?
Okay, enough brain cells burned (wasted--LOL)...gotta get cleaning!

You girls are a hoot! You do keep me laughing...it's kinda like watching and hearing the banter on Gilmore Girls when I read your communication with each other! I love it!
Thanks for the smile!

Holy Macaroly, I had no idea I was so deep and eloquent! Whoda thunkit?

But according to Joy's page of archaic words, a pygarg is an ibex, which is an antelopey sort of critter. If I remember correctly.

Well, then, I guess you are right...here's what I found at dictionary.com...but you see it also says it's a female of the hen harrier (which is Any of various slender, narrow-winged hawks of the genus Circus, such as the marsh hawk, that prey on small animals.) or a Sea Eagle ( ... )
