When Alan and I lived in Sacramento, in days BC (Before Children), one of our favorite things to do was wake up late on Saturday (proof it was BC!) and drive over to San Francisco for the day. BART scared me. I was afraid there would be an earthquake while I in it. I think I got my slight sense of claustrophobia from BART.

You know, I had to do deep-breathing exercises every time we went under the bay in the BART! I was fine when we were on either side--it was being UNDER the bay that made me feel freaky! The whole way I'd be wondering what would happen if there was an earthquake and I was stuck under the bay in the dark in a subway tube. Gives me the heebie jeebies just to think about it!

ARGH! Yes! My sister thought I was whacked for being disturbed by tons of water above my head. I thought she was whacked for not being disturbed!
