okay. so by that standard, should we also ban anti-bacterial soap, since bacteria would in theory someday evolve into a higher form of life? I mean sure thats a ridiculous idea, but to me, so is the argument that a woman should be forced to be the baby-making property of men simply because of "what that baby could someday be". And sure, maybe "that baby" could grow up to cure AIDS and cancer, and establish world peace. But given the extreme unlikelyhood of that, I think it would certainly not hurt society for a woman to be able to give up a baby she cannot raise.
Bacteria - although not always bad - is generally a bad thing that makes us sick. A baby is born innocent, and only turns bad from bad parenting upbringing.
While I believe in a woman's right to choose, I also believe in taking responsibility for your own actions. I'm not against abortion in certain circumstances, but not as a means of birth control.
And while it may be extremely unlikely that one aborted baby will be the cure for AIDs or cancer, with an aborted baby every 24 seconds, the likeliness grows exponentially. Wouldn't you agree?

And although I disagree with partial-birth abortion and things like that, at what point does destroying a group of cells constitute murder?
