Today is Thursday, May the 13th, 2004. This day is very important because it is MY EIGHTEENTH BIRTHDAY!! WHOO!! Anyway, this has been a pretty good day all around, especially since I got everything squared away with my Eagle Scout stuff. Its hard. It sucks. But I'm always here; always. You don't have control over your dad, and I've been learning lately that you can't let it bother you. You can control how you react. Trust me.

hey sweets! i know parents can be rough sometimes...especially at this point in time in life. just do what i do...keep defying them! :-) drives 'em nuts! hehe i hope you had a great bday anyways. only a couple more years and then you can come to PA to drink with me!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!!

Parents have to do what parents have to do. We understand that it is not always going to be popular with our kids. But our job is not to be popular. Our job is to love our kids and to help them suceed. This often takes pushing. So be it. We do the best we know how. We'll get some things right, and we'll get some things wrong.
