i understand your frustration and deeply sympathize with you. however, you have to realize that for most people elsewhere, life has to simply go on. it was the same when there was a war in iraq and thousands of innocent people lost their fathers to a war they did not deserve. did we stop going to shows? or to class? were we not crying over our love lives? and how about when the tsunami happened? we all watched, mouths half open, did the best we could (financially, or maybe in few people's cases, a bit more) and sat back and hoped for the best and went on with our lives. it's just the way it has to happen.

i hope that things get better for you soon, and i am so sorry for your loss. if there is anything you need, if you ever need to talk, etc - you know where to find me.

understandable, but this didn't happen so far away. This happened an hour away and it has effected everyone's neighbors, family, friends, phones, businesses....

If you live an hour away from this destruction....you should be helping not playing golf.

10 times more people have died in N.O. than in Iraq or 911. They just aren't giving out the numbers yet.

just call me cleopatra, queen of denial..... nola_darling September 19 2005, 01:12:41 UTC
sweetie!!! I am so sad that that bitch set you off...I am really bad about talking about everything but the reality 'cause I am an avoider...I deal with 'it' by not dealing with 'it', in case you can't tell by the way I ran the fuck out of the state. I haven't had my reality break down yet, mostly because I am dealing with family and visiting and planning where I will escape to next. It will get better for all of us......one day....it will!!!

you so funny. I've been keeping up with your trips. On the way back you should stop in Texas and visit me. I'll be west of Dallas. I'm glad you and your girl, pets, etc are ok.

Abilene TX. Two hours west of Houston. I'm good, just upset. Thanks for the offer. Maybe you could introduce me to some people. I'm going to be very far away from home.

We were on the radio in Abilene until a few weeks ago. I know a handful of people there. Let me know when you get there and I'll try to help you get in touch with some nice folks.

Stay in touch.
