Because I managed to come home with my face in one peice after a pit bull decided that she didn't like me. And so far no bruising. Here's to hoping I don't wake up with a black eye ( Read more... )

Pitbulls and faces are never a good mix. What happened? you touch its special area and it flipped out?

I honestly have no idea. I honestly trust Rottweilers less than I trust Pit Bulls. But this one was just scary.
She was all happy and wagging her tail, nothing wrong, tounge out and happy. Then alla sudden she just backed really low and deep then lunged for my face.

I don't know if it had to do with the owner holding her harness or what. She didn't growl and no hair raised on her back. It was eerie. Scary dog. And she's only a year old ;-;

How's your little puppy doing? Counting the days til you can take it home?

Yikes, no warning? That's weird, dogs usually give fair warning before going ape shit.

and eeeee, I can't wait! We get her this weekend! I already bought food and everything with my tip monies. Dan'll prolly get a crate and other doodads soon. We're totally posting photos on flickr.

I didn't know what Parvo is. Looked it up. omg poor doggies. ;-;

I hate big dogs that feel the need to jump up at you. It's cute with small dogs, but omg. @_@

Actually... a lot of my coworkers feel more comfortable handling medium sized dogs than the little ones X3
My manager has a scar on her lip where she needed to get stitches after a doxie attacked her face. O_o;

Large and small dogs...lol.

Parvo is so sad. It's a bit more surviveable than it used to be. But lately people just don't have the money to hospitalize them, so more seem to die from it recently. ;-;
And half of the owners who have these dogs think that it's just like a cold or something and the dog'll be fine. It's so depressing. They look at the vet like it's no big deal ;-;
