I guess the official word is that the high pressured air in the mechanism used to position the chair higher or lower exploded and sent shrapnel flying through the boy's rectum and into his abdomen.

I read that a few days ago and had a "D:" face for a good 10 minutes. What a horrible thing to happen. I'll be more cautious of those chairs in future!
