Tattoo man joe reached for his rolo-dex of excuses and this time pulled out: "I'm still working on the previous client and since unlike you she hasn't paid me yet... this will take a while". I think Dave countered with, "But it's been six months and you just screwed me again yesterday and I have a concert to go to in a few hours"... i'll let you guess how it all worked out.
