none other than peter feng with the usual announcer guy whose name has escaped me talking about asian images in old films. we tuned in for the charlie chan part of the evening. it was then we (my mum and i) learned that the original guy who played chan wasn't asian at all, but norwiegian. his successor wasn't asian either

Meant to respond several days ago (when you posted this), but yea, I was watching on June 3rd and my jaw very slowly dropped to the floor as the name "Peter X Feng" was spoken by Robert Osbourne, followed by a camera cut to him. My first thoughts were "ghee, good thing I just happened to be flipping channels and have my attention caught by that minidocumentary on Asian American film, otherwise I never would've known."

I guess this is what udaily is for.

They're doing it every Tuesday and Thursday for the rest of the month, by the way.
