Kiwi birthday plans

My dad and I just bought our plane tickets to New Zealand for my birthday! We're leaving on March 30th and coming back on April 10th. I was put in charge of researching rental car prices and putting together a loose itinerary. My first order of business: instead of getting a rental car, we will just saddle up some kangaroos dragons and ride them

As an Australian , I'd like to say that I think they have more sheep than kangaroos :)

Are there kangaroos in New Zealand? I always assumed they only existed in Australia.

Well if there aren't my backup plan is to get a dragon!

Kangaroos are not native to New Zealand. However, apparently there are introduced populations of kangaroos and/or wallabies (then again, there are introduced wallabies on the big island of Hawai'i). However, pick up a keabird and bring it back for mom...then feed it to chompers (or feed chompers to IT!)
