Heh. To be fair to your friend, Jeter's mom is white. I've also seen similar conversations on Dodger boards about Russell Martin, usually containing the line "but... he's Canadian."

I had no idea who he was, so I looked up pictures. :) Honestly, I wouldn't have known he had a black parent. I would have thought Italian... maybe?
