I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling really cheated by your father's lack of support. I experienced something similar in terms of unfairness; my father paid my brother's way through college, including a transition of majors halfway through so that a 4-year degree took him 6 years and also paid for my brother to do things like travel the world and buy a house and so on ( ... )

Your experience sounds traumatic to say the least.

The only thing that upsets me is when there are people out there that say stuff like "you're lazy" or other no such nice things when it comes to how far you have gotten in your life.

For a long time I have felt a stumbling block did some bad effects on my path, but I am hanging in.

I am going to therapy to deal with some issues pertaining to my parents. Cause I love my mother, but she is driving me bonkers. LOL
