Alternative Wednesday!

Running a little late due to spending some time with a very lovely lady and a certain television program, but enough of that! It's time again for Alternative Wednesday! TMBG has been my favorite band at various points and still remain in my Top Five. (I think they lost #1 when they joind the Kerry/Edwards campaign in 2004.)

My mother played accordion when she was a little girl. Until TMBG appeared, the sole domain of accordions was Lawrence Welk, Weird Al and my mother.

I can understand. Kelly has had one or two actors that she's had to stop paying attention to online because she wanted to still be able to enjoy their art.

They have also made several very good "children's" albums--I put children in parentheses because adults like myself enjoy them, too. If you've ever had to listen to much of the music marketed towards children you'll realize how rare that is.

Believe me, I do. Having ridden across Atlanta with my niece and the in-laws allowing her to control the radio, I can completely understand. I would've much preferred to have heard TMBG over the 15th itieration of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider".
