This Is My Life, Sucking

Nov 08, 2009 22:10

So, THE GIRL has been home sick with H1N1 for the past week or two. Just as I was starting work, and less available to chat, etc. During this time, she connected online with a friend of a friend... a girl who has just "blows her mind." She says "like, there is no question in my mind that monogamy is and would feel right with this girl." Here I was ( Read more... )

Sorry you are going through all that... I am going to be 27 in December.. and I go through some form of what you are going through, too.. Here I am happily married with 3 beautiful children, but I feel like I should be someone "important" right now in a work environment. Our problems are different, but I think they both hit that "Shouldnt I be farther along in this particular aspect of my life by now" scenerio. I joke and say I went to college to get my M.R.S. degree bc I met and married John. He is an awesome provider, dont get me wrong, but I feel like I chose the wrong classes and major, etc and missed my chance at doing something I really would have liked to do that would have been extremely profitable... like go to law school or something ( ... )

That last part made me think back to where I was ten years ago. What would I tell the me of ten years ago? Honestly, "Your life is going to suck. Nothing is going to go as planned. You are going to hate a lot of it. Prepare yourself, and treasure every snatch of happiness you can ( ... )

I'm feeling the same way about piercings and tattoos...I want more...but I keep telling myself that I'm "an adult now" so I should be doing stuff like that.

Just get your tattoos where you can cover them. ;) I won't tell...
Tats just aren't so much my thing, for a few reasons. And piercings are a bit harder to cover up (well, depending where they're located, I suppose)... lol

Well I likely won't stop with the tattoos...as I'm not even half way done a half sleeve...but I'm pretty sure I won't be getting any new piercings.

It's like you're stalking me... and vice versa. I post on LJ, then you respond, then I respond, then you respond. Cree-eepy... lol

I'm 30, so 27 isn't old, thankuveddymuch. I have tattoos which aren't visible without my clothes off, so I can be a rebel and a "Director of Corporate Advertising" at the same time.

As far as love, we all have our own story, our own path. But the journey doesn't stop when you find love. Look at the total number of broken marriages.

I'm totally 100% convinced that successful love is nothing more than shit luck. I mean, sure, you have to work at it and you have to sacrifice a little.

But the two biggest surprises for me were: 1) Stop dating only the people you're interested in and 2) you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

If you date only the people you're interested in, you'll miss some good ones. Take my wife, for example. We're not supposed to work - but we do. She's not the typical girl I would have gone after, and in fact only went after her as I was in the process of fishing for dating partners after my last relationship. Was not really interested, and only asking her for sport, so to speak...

True that! LOL. INstead, as SOON as the girls went to bed, John turned the tv off and said "why dont you take a short nap? You look tired." I was like, great idea! Let me nap for like an hour and then we can have some us time and talk or whatever. FF to several hours later... I woke up. Realized the "trick" lol. ANd then got ready for bed for real and went to sleep. THat stinker. He thinks he can get away with all those shenanigans. Tonight he has a board meeting then tomorrow night is Rivers' dance class. So it will be THursday night before we could talk.. if I even remember by then. He craftily danced his way out of trouble again!

LMAO!!!
I'm Canadian; your government won't let me just live there.
And I'd be the one with the "funny accent" who "can't spell".
And I'm a cat person, but you have a dog. See why this would never work?
LOL
