Had a bit of a close call with stretching grocies until Friday/Payday but we managed. While not the fanciest meals I have come up with, edible, ok tasting and full bellies were what we were going after. Ramin, condensed soup, Couple cans of corn and a box of stuffing did the trick.
Doug had to stay home from work on Wednesday because of a spinal flare up which is affecting his syatica (sp?) nerve. He is in an extreme amount of pain. But good news is his doctor told him that he can be back on his pain meds again. Bad news is that he could have been taking them since January 1st when he got switched over to the new injection serum. No one fucking told him.
So he is now high as a kite, but the edge of the pain is down. We both made it into work today. Mickey and Kaia came over yesterday to help out around the apartment. The clutter had backed up something fierce over the last shot week and we were struggling to keep it under control (not easy with an almost 2 year old who likes to throw his toys everywhere. Kaia insisted on taking all of our trash out to the dumpster and helped me put away dishes that I had in the dish washer. Mickey helped Doug with his pain through his little electrosage machine.
With their help I got our kitchen and living room cleaned. All counters and stove wiped down, dishes done and put away, floor swept (not mopped though I might do that tonight), everything up off of the floor, vaccumed. All in about an hour. I am very very pleased.
Our groceries arrived while Mickey and Kaia were there...so I decided to cook for them for once. I did another successful batch of my Sweet Lemon Salmon and Dill Carrots. Mickey had to leave while I was cooking though because he had his weekly massage scheduled for 6:30...and the massage therapist was late to his house. Kaia stayed behind and had dinner with us and we boxed up Mickey's food for her to take with her. I must have done something right because kaia informed me that she was stealing the recipe from me.
I ended the evening in a nice hot bath and kind of fell asleep there. The warm water lulled me into a doze a couple different times. Glad I'm a light sleeper anywhere but in my own bed...could have drowned. That is no bueno.
We also decided to give EQII a try because a couple people at work and we hear about it all the time. It's not as popular as wow, though the graphics even at the lower settings it is very very nice. You can be Fae, which reminds me of the dryads in Horizons. Those were fun to play. I made a Fae of course and was tooling around with it till around level 9 or so. The only thing I really don't like about EQII is that I don't know where anything is, and their quests are quite vague sometimes when you have to find specific things.
That and I am still just simply addicted to wow. I love the game and I have too much going just to switch to another game starting over completely. I have invested a lot of work and time into my guild and I have a lot of responsibilities that I have to tend to as well. I am an officer (soon to be enforcer from what I hear) which are the people that have access to all guild functions just like the guild leader. I control one of the guild banks (the mat holding one which I believe get's the most requests and mail) I wrote the guild charter. I am Rogue Class Leader. We are building the guild into something amazing...something that we as a tiny guild didn't think was a possible. We have enough people running the right type of classes to do Karazhan once we get the levels and the gear to do so.
I finally got Lucas and Kris to understand that we simply cannot just jump into Shattered Halls or Shadowlab or Steamvault with the character makeup we have right now. I am the best geared in the guild atm and that is pretty weaksauce. We have a couple newly 70 people. They wanted us to do one of the higher five man instances and of course we wiped on the second pull.
Just because you are 70 doesn't mean you are ready for the 70 instances. The new 70s are not geared for 70. We need to run the lower five mans over and over to get people the gear out of them...THEN we move on up the chain to the higher five mans...get the gear we need and work our rep in there...THEN we hit revered, buy our heroic keys and move on to heroic five mans for gear there. Once people are more heavily geared...we can take on the higher stuff.
Did a bit of rep farming for Consortium with my Rogue and actually ran a BC instance with my guildies. Chris, Lucus, Patrick, Jeremy and I made for a pretty good team.
We are working like maniacs trying to put together a guild charter, ranking system and basic infrastructur to our rapidly growing cluster of guild mates. WE have 68 characters in the guild, but a good portion of them are alts. We are currently in discussion with rule changes that will alter the guild drastically and revamping the ranking system.
It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun at the same time. I missed being a guild officer.
Oh yeah and I need 840 of the stupid Zaxxas Insignias. I farmed 51 last night. /cry
