Aw, Mac's journal is feeling so left out of the memespam love.

So! Ask any of mine a question -- Wash (flybywash), Mac (q_in_training), Mercer (mercurialist), or Sam the Shoulder Angel (its_a_robe) -- and they'll answer honestly. Or, alternately, tell me something about them that I don't know.

So, Mac, we're both pretty jaded about men right about now. How many tequila shots do you think it'd take between us before the hot girl-on-girl action started?

What made you first get in to computers, Mac? And how old were you when it happened?

(Seriously though, that first question NEVER HAPPENED.)

I'd say twelve, thirteen tops. *innocent face*

My parents got a used Power Mac 7600 in '96 and couldn't figure out how to set it up -- which, I don't know how that happens -- so while they were sitting around untangling the cables and staring at the wall socket, I grabbed the manuals, read them, and chased Mom and Dad out of the room so I could do it. Two hours later they came back in and found everything running fine and me pretty much cemented in front of it.

I didn't know what the big deal was. It was just...easy. Not to mention really cool. And it's not like I cared that they were clueless, 'cause it meant I had it all to myself.

(Don't ask, don't tell. Got it, V.)

They're heirlooms! Precious family heirlooms!

...By which I mean I got most of 'em at junk shops when I was a kid. But a couple of them really were heirloom-y gifts of crazy plastic reptilian fun that belonged to a cousin out on the Rim. I got a whole box of them one year for New Year's.

*long pause*

You know...now I'm wondering if Crowley had anything to do with that.

The diapers. That's kind of a given. And the chilling knowledge that I will never ever get a full night's sleep again, ever.

And...okay, on occasion the part where I know this new job is gonna last the rest of my life with no calling it quits, but that's making with the rarer and rarer lately. Because so far? It's one of the shiniest jobs I've had. I don't want to quit for good.
