A good day

What a productive day this has been! I made up for waking up too late (even for a night owl as me) by getting some stuff done. My fridge was kinda empty so I had to do some groceries, fixed a couple of buttons and jewels, modded a corsage and a bow and read a bunch of pages of a huge (but awesome) book I need to finish by Friday

ahh college, what is your area of study?

I study Letras (Language + Literature) with an orientation in Modern Foreign literature. I'll probably pick the modern visionary tradition as my specialization field when I've graduated, but English literature as a whole is just as tempting!

I'm sorry if it sounds like absurd mumbling, it's hard for me to define my studies, especially because it's quite different from the US college work. ^^

it sounds more interesting then US college work. i also study literature. i would like to read more by japanese women and if i can somehow learn japanese i hope to be a translator. do you mind if i ask what modern visionary tradition entails?

Really? Why do think it sounds more interesting?

This semester I started an introductory course to Japanese lit. but it wasn't up to my expectations so I dropped off to be able to work harder on my other courses. Yet, I'd love to get good translations of Genji Monogatari and The Pillow Book to start reading a little on my own, the fragments we read were exquisite!

Visionary tradition: to sum it up, those writers who actively tried to go beyond their perception of the physical world to achieve a higher, more accurate awareness level (of course these experiences then made into their art ^^): from William Blake and a bunch of Romantic writers, symbolism and decadentism, surrealism, and the Beat and psychedelic generations.

the beat'em up game? it was rad!!! I played the Simpsons and the Ninja Turtles arcade games as often as I could.. great memories!

jaja, estudio Letras, con orientación en literaturas extranjeras modernas (y como especialización estoy entre dedicarme a la literatura inglesa o a la tradición visionaria desde un poco antes del romanticismo hasta la generación Beat más o menos).

ya mejor, tiene un problema en el corazón que le causó problemas en la circulación, lo que provocó fallas en varios órganos ._. pero ya se está mejorando.

Es re lindo cuando en poco tiempo te las arreglas para poder hacer mil cosas...sin embargo no soy fan de hacer eso, ya que me gusta mas HACER NADA, pero te admiro por tu dedicacion!!~~

No conozco ese juego que decis....pero le haria caso a tu novio, y jugaria en un emulador, recuerdo cuando jugaba al Mario en el family y perdia antes de llegar al 7-1 y me queria morir....!!! T.T
