1. Best Lolita fashion advice you've ever received?
Unfortunately I haven't been given much advice, but finding out that the gothic in lolita doesn't equal Western goth was key to avoid noob mistakes.
2. Style icons?
thya,
iiraliina,
redtonic,
emiru,
theosakakoneko,
shibahime 3. Describe your personal style.
Lolita isn't the only alternative fashion that got me hooked, so I call myself Neovictorian while people just call me eccentric.
Romantic, period-inspired goth is one my deepest passions, as well as steampunk and male aristocrat. When I go Lolita, I switch from gothic (not only kuro, as I love red, blue, purple and other bold colours) to a very ladylike classic (Mary Magdalene rooooooooocks). Shiro is my secret love, the more angelic the better.
4. Favorite designers/brands?
Brands: Mary Magdalene on top, but I'm a sucker for Atelier BOZ, Victorian Maiden and Juliette et Justine. Aatp and Qutie Frash have been catching my eye more than once lately.
Designers: Alexander McQueen and the inspired nutballs from Ozz On.
5. Most cherished items?
My
Meta Rose Print Special Set skirt (ooh such a looong name!),
this work of art by Mille Fleurs,
my Victorian Maiden velvet OP,
my treasured MM jsk, and, believe it or not,
the most comfortable pair of shoes in the world.
6. Most used item?
The most comfortable pair of shoes in the world, of course!!!
7. I feel best wearing?
Menswear! When I dress as a nineteenth-century gentleman, I'm on top of the world ^.^
8. The first thing I look for in another Lolita's outfit...
Personality (but not necessarily uniqueness). That's what makes me fall in love with coords. Those lacking personality can be pretty, but I'll forget them the next second.
9. Lolita Fashion rule you never break?
I don't feel lolita if I don't have a Lolita silhouette, so petticoats (built-in or standalones xD) are essential unless I'm matching a very full, longish skirt into a classic lolita coord.
10. Never caught wearing?
Pink. Poodles. Food prints/jewellery. Overly cute stuff, to sum up.
11. Dress to impress who?
God.
(Those who are close to me know I'm talking about David Bowie)
12. Your next "must have" purchase?
A high-collared or bowtie blouse for boystyle/aristo. Black RHS.
13. Favorite type of head accessory?
Rose corsages buy me any time, but let's not forget full-sized hats!
14. Favorite cut of clothing (shirring, high waist, princess seams etc)?
All kinds of corsetting!
15. Current obsession?
Tailcoats (yummyyyyyyy). Blue, green, and their son teal xD
16. Best Lolita fashion advice you can give to anyone:
Don't give a shit about what other people will think as long as you're having fun!
